Halo.
41SAR peeps less edwin (whom will be flying back tonight) have came back safely from Aussy. Like wad sgt peck said, it isn't easy and it isn't difficult. But all of us definitely learnt alot from this trip. Yup, totally agree with ziheng that live firing is damn fun. It's so large scale beyond all your imagination. :P Learning to work with men is an interesting yet tough experience. Can't wait to catch up with you guys. Feel free to jio me out next week. Our 41 specs are having off till earliest next sunday (Envy ba?). Heh. Take care.

hi guys! it has been a while since my last post here..haha...

heard that the 41SAR ppl haf come back from wallaby, hope we can meet up one day soon..haha...

just an update of my recent happenings in 40SAR...

last monday (191107), me, loon ann, joel, valmond and 2 other AIs from my coy went back to sungei gedong camp to take our TSR test at the SIL. the test was quite easy and we all passed it at our 1st attempt. over at the SIL, we saw the OTW ppl, who are gg to be commissoned real soon. after the test, we went to the canteen where we saw the usual gang of warrants & master cora. loon ann, joel and valmond immediately ran away to hide away, with me following behind shortly after. soon, we met up wif bernard, caleb & shengyang. they seem fine to me too. heard they can haf nites off everyday, so envious and jealous. haha...pity, sgt peck not there cos he's on leave.

for the past 2 wks, we were involved in ICCT (Intermediate Close Combat Training). the training was quite shiong becos we haf to keep falling to the ground & smacking our arms and hands on the ground to do all the breakfalls n all the stunts. we had our mock grading on wednesday (211107) and me, joel and valmond almost cldnt take the actual grading cos we fared badly in the mock grading, too nervous till we forgot how to do the stunts..luckily, we took the actual grading and passed it. during the actual grading, we also had sparring where we fought with each other using pugil sticks..to an idiot, it seems like pillow fight, but it really seems like one cos we just kept whacking each other and dun tink it's easy cos we get shacked out real soon.

well, on thurs (221107), i did my COS duty for the 4th time since i enter 40SAR. i did the usual stuff n more extra stuff, like doing flag raising n lowering in the morning n evening respectively. tis time round of COS duty was the busiest of all 4 times. cos im part of the orgainisng team for the Cmdr Cohesion Day on fri (231107), i had to keep the coy office opened for use till late. i was also totally shocked when the storeman told me he took back 10 binos, which my coy t-loan to QM, but I could only found 9 binos in the box. I tot 1 bino was lost n i cldnt hand over the armskote to the DO n an idiotic clerk from my coy kept asking me if he cld book out cos he's on leave the next day. then i realised the stupid storeman counted wrongly, then if i rmb correctly, i f*** him abit. soon, the 'missing' bino was returned to the armskote in one piece. finally, i cld handover the armskote to the DO. after that, i went back to the coy office n realised that the stupid clerk din sign the book in/out book and he oreadi booked out. i immediately called him and f*** him over the phone. guess he was traumatised and he hurriedly came back to camp to sign the book, heard he spent $7 for a cab ride back to camp, felt so sorry for him but he deserved it for not signing the book..muahaha...within just few hours, i f*** 2 guys and duno y loon ann, valmond and joel kept laughing at me for f*** the guys..it wasnt funny at all cos i was very serious at tat time.

tis wk in 40SAR was quite happening. 1st we played soccer in the stadium pitch with all the big bosses, but most of the time, i was posing at one end of the pitch, haha...then we had happy hours at the Black Knights Specs Mess...we oso had MacDonald's Big Breakfast at the mess on wed morning too...n of cos not forgetting the Cmdr Cohesion Day at the Padang.

next wk onwards will be an even more bz as we start to clear our leaves, leaving one or two ppl in the coy to do all the work...and of cos, we will be making several trips to tekong for IPC so as to get ourselves really for the coming ptp and bmt batch in dec. n cos the HQ ppl will be gg for their ATP, i will be involved as the chamber safety on one of the days in early dec.

tat's all from me now..for subsequent updates, wait for my next post ba..muahaha....see u guys soon! =)

hey hey!!

its my turn to post!

juz came back from wallaby this morning 2am. reached home at 3.30am. wallaby was generally fun. and nope, i wasn't getting scolded by the old man. was juz listening to him talking some c**p. haha. learnt quite a lot of things at wallaby, esp the live firings (8 days). made mistakes, get reprimanded by OC & PS, picked up from there and emerged more knowledgable. next year will be a busy busy year at 41SAR.

meet up someday and zach, me, py and qianle can share some of our wallaby stories!!

Its been some time since anyone has posted here. Well, I guess it has to be me. Haha.

41SAR people are coming back already, or some already came back. If you guys happened to browse the Army Intranet by chance, you might see Zi Heng's picture in the Wallaby Photo Gallery. Apparently, he is talking or listening to some big shot there, but I just know he is being scolded. Haha.

I heard that 40SAR people are going to extend their ORD, to fight ATEC. Haha. Well, its not that bad also, at least you won't have nothing to do right after you ORD.

And soon enough, STW is going to have another intake of trainees. Heard its a larger strength this time. The whole department is going through a lot of reformations, but soon, we are going back into business. Haha. Its time to make the 5 of them do some work.

And 2 weeks from now, I am going to leave the department. Hope it will be under good hands.

yozyozyoz....

my 1st post here..quite pleasing to see tcc blog been established...hope everyone is doing fine.

well, life after tcc, particularly in 40SAR ARCHER coy, isnt very same compared to life back in tcc. my coy currently got 6 3SGs (4 tankees & 2 AIs)...life now is rather slack cos ARCHER now dun haf any man, as it will be taking bmt (ptp) batch tis coming december. i feel tat im quite fortunate to be taking bmt cos it has always been my dream to teach recruits (not to tekan them thou, haha)...however, dun be too envious of me so much cos there are quite a lot of bad points regarding taking bmt batch. 1st, bmt in 40SAR wld to similar to tat in tekong, teaching infantry stuff, & after being learning solely armour stuff since june, i haf quite forgotten abt infantry stuff, so i tink tat wld be a problem for not me alone, but oso the 3 other tankees (loon ann, joel and valmond), just hope the AIs know their infantry stuff ba..2nd, bmt batch will last till next yr March, so from now till then, all the BOS, weekly & monthly servicing will be done by just the 4 of us, worst still, 4 tankees just to handle 4 tanks, quite taxing on us (but we are considered lucky cos the 2AIs haf 8 ULTRAs to handle, even more taxing on them)...3rd, cos we wun be doing armour related training from now till March, im afraid i mite forget most of it...4th & the most worst part of taking bmt batch is tat we haf to work 5.5 days per week & there will be quite a few wkend confinements, similar to bmt in tekong. imagine how it feels like to see my fellow conterparts in BRAVES & COUGAR booking out every friday while we still stay in camp..

so right now without any man for me to take charge, life is abit slack, but not as slack as u tink...cos my company only got 6 3SGs, almost all of us will haf to do COS duty once a week & till now, I haf done 2 days of COS duty when ppl in other coys haven even do theirs...COS duty quite shiong oso, everyday haf to reveille the coy, do cookhse duties for breakfast, lunch & dinner, take charge of the keypress & the armskote = most-easily-kana-extra responsibilities, sometimes go for flag raising (not for now) & flag lowering, staff parades (not for now too), etc..too much things to do...

ya, and 1 funny thing abt the 6 specs in my coy is that out of tis 6, 5 of us haf PSPs & we wld be chionging it, esp at nite after office hours & if u happen to pass by our bunk, it's not uncommon to hear us scolding vulgarities in the bunk. haha...

arh, now it's oreadi november, probably the 2 2SGs haf oreadi ORD n very soon it wld be the other one's turn, nvm abt tat cos next yr arnd tis time, we wld oso be getting back our pink ics & celebrating our ORD..hope tcc1/07 wld be celebrating together ba, haha...

till next post, sayonara!

ah gwee =)
